Privacy Policy

Heirloom (“the app”) is operated by Fan Platform Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales. It is built around a simple idea: the photos, notes and milestones you record about your child are deeply personal, and they should stay with you. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.

The short version

Everything you add to Heirloom is stored locally on your device. We do not have user accounts, we do not run servers that hold your content, and we do not collect analytics or track you. Your data leaves your phone only when you explicitly choose to save a photo to your gallery or share it.

Information you provide

Within the app you may enter details such as your name, your child's name and date of birth, a profile photo, milestone progress, written notes, and photos. This information is saved in the app's storage on your device. It is not transmitted to us or to any third party.

Camera and photo library

Heirloom asks for permission to use your camera and photo library so you can add pictures to your memories, and to save pictures back to your device's photo gallery when you choose to. These permissions are optional and are used only for the actions you initiate. We do not scan, upload or analyse your photos.

Analytics and tracking

We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies. The app does not build a profile of you and does not send your usage anywhere.

Sharing of information

We do not sell, rent or share your personal information, because we never receive it in the first place. If you use a share or save feature in your device's operating system, that action is handled by your device and is subject to the terms of whatever service you send the content to.

Children's privacy

Heirloom is intended for parents and guardians to keep records about their own children. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children online. Because all data stays on your device, the information you record about your child is controlled entirely by you.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your information remains on your device until you remove it. You can delete individual memories and photos at any time, use “Start over” in the app to erase everything, or uninstall the app to remove its stored data from your device. Photos you have saved to your device gallery are managed by you in your gallery.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date above and post the revised version here. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
